Distant Convergence: Zhunan Snake Kiln - Resident Ceramic Artists Exhibition

Since 2012, we've welcomed ceramic artists from around the world to Zhunan Snake Kiln to explore the art of high-temperature wood firing. Over the past twelve years, despite a pause during the pandemic, we've hosted artists from Japan, Hong Kong, France, Slovenia, Hungary, Switzerland, and New Zealand. These artists, from different cultural backgrounds, came to Taiwan to create and share their art, making lifelong connections along the way.

This residency offers a deep understanding and unique connection to Taiwan, with some artists even calling this island their second home. Zhunan Snake Kiln, with its 100-year-old tradition, continues to innovate in wood firing. When Taiwan's traditional techniques meet diverse creative approaches, the results are limitless. Each artist has left behind beautiful works, and this exhibition, "Distant Convergence," celebrates their contributions and looks to the future.
